Privacy policy

This page says what Twixen (Pvt) Ltd does with your information when you use this shop. It describes this shop as it actually works today.

What we collect

• When you order: your name, delivery address, phone number and email address, and what you ordered.
• If you create an account: the same details, plus your password, which is stored scrambled and cannot be read back by us or by anyone else.
• Automatically: ordinary web server records — the address your request came from, the page asked for and the time — kept so the shop can be run and problems traced.

What we do not collect

We do not take card numbers on this site. Payment is by bank transfer or cash on delivery, so no card details are entered here and none are stored. If card payment is added later, the card details will go straight to the payment company and will not pass through this shop.

There are no advertising pixels and no analytics trackers on these pages. The only outside service the shop calls is Google Fonts, which loads the typefaces and in doing so sees the address your browser connects from.

Cookies

The shop sets cookies to remember your basket, keep you signed in if you have an account, and remember whether you are reading in English, Sinhala or Tamil. There are no advertising cookies. Blocking cookies will stop the basket from working.

Who else sees it

• The courier gets your name, address and phone number, because the parcel cannot be delivered without them.
• Zhopwe, the platform this shop runs on, stores the shop's data on its servers in order to provide the service.
• The authorities, if we are required by law to hand something over.

We do not sell, rent or trade your details to anyone.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it, but we keep the invoice record of orders already placed.

Your choices

Write to info@twixen.com and we will give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If a request would leave us unable to complete an order you have already placed, we will tell you before acting on it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page. We do not change it quietly and backdate it.
