Quick answer: Stretch marks are very common after pregnancy, weight gain or weight loss. Keeping the skin moisturised and massaged helps it feel softer and look smoother. Our Stretch Mark Cream is a smoothing, moisturising body cream for the tummy, thighs, hips and breasts, used twice a day. It contains Retinol and is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before using it.
Why stretch marks happen
When skin stretches faster than it can adjust, thin lines can appear. This is common during pregnancy, after weight gain or loss, during growth spurts and with muscle building. Newer marks often look pinkish, reddish or darker, and older ones often look lighter and flatter.
Stretch marks are a normal part of many bodies, and nothing to feel ashamed of. Caring for them is about comfort and how the skin feels and looks to you.
First, the important caution
Stretch Mark Cream contains Retinol. The pack says it is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor. So:
- If you are pregnant: please don't use it unless your doctor says it is fine. Ask your doctor or clinic midwife which moisturiser suits you during pregnancy.
- If you are breastfeeding: the same applies. Check with your doctor first.
- After pregnancy and breastfeeding, or if your marks are from weight change, it can be part of your routine.

The cream: Stretch Mark Cream
This is a smoothing, moisturising body cream with Centella Extract, Cocoa Butter, Marine Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera and Retinol. As printed on the tube, it:
- helps improve the appearance of stretch marks
- supports smoother-looking skin
- moisturises dry areas
- helps skin feel supple and nourished
- Size: 50 g
- Price: Rs 1,990
- How often: twice a day, morning and evening
- Where: areas prone to stretch marks, such as the abdomen, thighs, hips and breasts
How to use it
- After your bath, pat the skin dry.
- Apply a generous amount on the areas with stretch marks.
- Massage in slow circles until absorbed. Taking a few minutes for this is part of the care.
- Do this twice a day.
Because it contains Retinol, start slowly if your skin is sensitive, for example once a day for the first week, then twice a day if your skin is comfortable. Avoid broken or irritated skin, including a healing C-section wound. Wait until it has fully healed and your doctor is happy with it.
Sun and Retinol
Most stretch-mark areas are covered by clothes. If any treated area is in the sun, for example the thighs when you wear shorts, use a sunscreen such as Invisible Sunscreen Cream SPF 50+ on that skin during the day.
Everyday care that helps
- Keep skin moisturised. Dry skin feels tight and looks rougher.
- Drink enough water and eat well, especially after having a baby.
- Be patient and consistent. Skin changes slowly. Give your routine a few weeks before judging it.
- Be kind to yourself. Your body has done something big.
Patch test and cautions
Patch test on a small area for 24 hours first. For external use only. Avoid the eyes and broken or irritated skin, stop if irritation occurs and keep it away from children.
